Alannah's Special Trash

Who knew that out of all the wonderful toys and gadgets that exist for babies that Alannah's some times favorite would be a piece of plastic wrapper from a cracker?! In fact her newest word is "trash", due to one of us taking the wrapper from her and saying, "That's trash Alannah." She looks up at you and says in a questioning sort of way," Tass?" And the reply is always. "Yes, that's trash, Alannah." At which point she grabs for it and tearfully wails, "Tass! Taaasssss!" You can see the hurt in her eyes as you have taken away her prized trash. Such devastation for a baby! I just wish I could capture the moment for you all. It's heartbreaking... really! I have learned that I we had better not take her special trash or she will turn on you with the puppy-dog eyes and cry like a baby. (Oh wait, she IS a baby!)
